Who Is Hello Lovely?

Hello everyone and welcome to 2020! 

We’re excited to begin a brand new endeavor this year – our bridal blog! What better place to share the vendors we get to work with, the beautiful venues we get to work in, and most of all, the incredible brides we get to know. 2020 looks bright and it’s all because of you!

But first, who is Hello Lovely and just what do we do?

Our story began in 2012 with Ashley Backs taking the first step by becoming a hair stylist and makeup artist for a local (now national) salon company. Not long after, Hanna, a friend and fellow stylist asked Ashley if she would take care of the makeup for her upcoming wedding. Soon, another friend requested her help with their wedding too! After this second wedding, Ashley made the step away from her salon home and began to work on location, sharing her hair and makeup talents with other brides in our Kansas City area. 

Once she and her husband Nick found out they were expecting their first son, Ashley began to build her team with other talented stylists and makeup artists. 

Hello Lovely is now a hair and makeup team of 10+ artists! 

Our artists are the heart of our team – we love what we do and it shows! (Look for future blog posts about our awesome team members!) From the littlest flower girl to the mom of the bride to the bride herself, our goal is to make you feel like your amazing self when you walk down that aisle, makeup and hair done to enhance that natural beauty that you have.

We are so excited to share more with you about the brides we’ve had the pleasure of meeting! Look for future blog posts that focus on our Hello Lovely brides and what they did to make their day truly theirs.
