At Hello Lovely one of the things we love is the opportunity to work with some of Kansas City’s best wedding vendors. We may see a florist or a photographer several times during the busy wedding season but never have time for more than a passing “hello!” so when we’re given the opportunity to be involved in a photoshoot, we jump at the chance. We’d love to share one of these shoots with you!
On a beautiful day last October, when the weather had finally started to cool down, our models arrived to our new studio, located in the River Market.
Jessica, Hannah, and Suzanna arrived for their hair and makeup, as well as Lindsay and Marjorie. A romantic boho style was the feel for the shoot. We chose to keep the model’s eyes as the focus, to enhance the lovely features they had. Their lip and cheek colors were kept soft, to complement the colors chosen for the bridesmaids to wear. Their hair was loose and flowy - a romantic updo for the bride and half up/half down styles, featuring braids and twists, for her maids.
The makeup and hair turned out amazing in these photos taken by Mariam Saifan Photography. She has a wonderful way of capturing all the smiles one could possibly wish to see in their wedding photos (see more fun shots below!) and those flowers! The bridal party’s bouquets and halos were created by Solstice Floral Studio, just for the shoot. Pink and orange, blush and cream, what a wonderful way to bring in the sunshine on this Fall day!
Our bride’s dress came from none other than Altar Bridal and those sweeping bridesmaids dresses? They are from Bella Bridesmaids KC.
Now we have to show off the location for this shoot as it’s one the most populat places to visit in Kansas City. All of the photos were taken at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, a space breathtaking on its own made even more so by the shots captured on this day.
We are so excited to have been able to share this photo shoot with you! We can tell you about the talented photographers we work with and share the florists we recommend, but it is so much more fun to show you how a shoot showing off these vendors comes to be!
