Emily and Saul have a story fit to be told as a modern day fairy tale. Emily is a Midwestern girl, originally from Wichita, Kansas and Saul grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. They met in the Northern Baltic Sea while both were working on a cruise ship.
Over time, their friendship blossomed into something more as they spent time exploring new places at the various ports their ship would stop at. At a stop in Montreal, Canada, they visited Notre-Dame Basilica and upon exiting the church, Saul asked Emily for her heart and hand in marriage. We were so excited to be a part of the special day they planned.
Emily chose a lovely textured style for her hair, a low chignon. Adorned with greenery from Wild Hill Flowers, and with face-framing pieces, her style fit perfectly with her lace gown.
Her hair style was complemented by her soft, smoky makeup. Shimmery neutrals brought out her eyes (along with her amazing brows may we just say) and her berry lips went well with the pops of color in her bouquet.
Emily and Saul held an intimate ceremony with family and close friends at the beautiful Visitation Catholic Church in Kansas City.
A surprise mid-ceremony awaited their guests as bagpipes and drums were played to celebrate Saul's Scottish heritage.
After their ceremony, their photographers spent some time with the couple, taking some incredible photos of the bride and groom. Jason Domingues Photography never fails to capture the fun moments as well as the intimate ones and we are pleased to be able to feature his work in this post.
